Manish Gunwani, Deputy CIO – Equity, ICICI Prudential AMC has put in his papers. Media reports suggest that he is likely to join Reliance AMC as its CIO. Morningstar could not independently confirm this news.
Manish was the sole fund manager of Focused Bluechip Equity Fund and co-manager of Balanced Advantage Fund and Technology Fund among others. Sankaran Naren will take over some of the schemes managed by Manish. Existing co-managers Atul Patel, Ashwin Jain, Rajat Chandak and George Heber Joseph will continue with their co-manager responsibilities.
Manish joined ICICI Prudential AMC in June 2010. Prior to managing funds, Manish was a part of the fund management team of ICICI Prudential Portfolio Management Services. Manish is an engineering graduate from IIT Chennai and has completed his MBA from IIM Bangalore in the year 1996.
