In the summer of 2013, Morgan Stanley categorized India as one of the “Fragile 5”.
Today, India’s macro stability is sound.
In fact, Ridham Desai of Morgan Stanley recently noted that the domestic equity market has been the recipient of strong capital inflows and pointed to August being the 17th straight month of positive inflows. Conclusion: The "dream run" may just be starting as India makes the most of the “domestic liquidity supercycle”.
We are thrilled that Ridham will deliver the keynote address on the second day of the Morningstar Investment Conference.
He will discuss what brought about the change from the brink and simultaneously confront the current lagging indicators in the economy. He will share his perspective on other relevant issues such as why government capex has picked up while private capex stays weak, and the visible frustration among Indian policymakers on the issue of bad loans and the government’s strategy in dealing with it.
Do join us for the 7th Morningstar Investment Conference to be held in Mumbai on October 10-11, 2017.
