Balasubramanian is joining Mahindra Mutual Fund as its Chief Equity Strategist from July 10, 2018. Previously, he was the chief investment officer at IDBI Mutual Fund.
Set up in 2016, Mahindra Mutual Fund manages assets worth Rs 3,961 crore across six schemes as on June 2018.
At IDBI Mutual Fund, Balasubramanian managed IDBI Equity Advantage Fund, IDBI Diversified Equity Fund and IDBI Hybrid Equity Fund.
V Balasubramanian has over 35 years of work experience of which 17 years have been in the mutual fund Industry and eight years in treasury of a nationalized bank. He previously served as a Dealer at IDBI Asset Management from May 2010 till November 2011. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and holds an M.Com. degree.
