GMO’s Jeremy Grantham addressed the 2018 Morningstar Investment Conference in Chicago.

We all know him as someone who occupies a legendary place in the world of finance, but not many realize that he is a great crusader for the environment and climate change. He frets on how short-sighted corporations can be. We deforest the land, degrade our soils, pollute and overuse our water and treat air like an open sewer; and we do it all off the balance sheet.

Grantham is the chief strategist at GMO, a Boston-based global investment group. He is also its co-founder – it was formed way back in 1977, an abbreviation for Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo.
