Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) are gaining popularity in India with an increasing number of asset managers making a beeline to offer ETFs across different categories and themes. Currently, there are 102 ETFs listed on the exchanges. ETFs trade just like stocks. You can buy and sell them at real-time price/NAV from your demat account. You can search for the performance and other details about any ETFs listed on the Indian exchanges using ETF Quickrank tool on Morningstar.in. This tool can be accessed from Tools > Mutual Funds > ETF Quickrank.
The snapshot tab provides information on the ETF category, Morningstar Star Rating, Year to Date Return, Total Expense Ratio, and the last close NAV.
This tool allows you to search for specific funds from a particular fund house or across 15 categories. Under the Short Term tab, you get to see 1-day to 6-month performance.
Under the Performance Tab, you will the fund’s 3- year volatility, YTD return, 1,3,5, and 10-year annualised return.
The Morningstar Risk indicates how risky the fund is relative to the category which is shown as: Low, Below Average, Average, Above Average, and High.
The portfolio section shows the fund’s style box, average market capitalisation, total assets and credit quality.
This tool does not provide information on Index Funds.
