I have been conducting interactions with seasoned investors to get a peek at their psychological mindset. The conversations are presented in a written format, as well as videos. The ones conducted most recently are presented first.
RAUNAK ONKAR
Head of Research and Co-fund Manager, PPFAS Mutual Fund
The latest interaction is with the youngest of the lot. I was looking for a different perspective. Raunak is extremely interested in the subject of behavioural finance, something that is also deeply entrenched in the ethos of the asset management firm his works at.

SAURABH MUKHERJEA
Founder and CIO, Marcellus Investment Managers
A controversial figure – some love him, some call him completely overrated. He was loved in 2020 and then criticised mercilessly. He says how he deals with it, and why it is wrong to think that he is running a one-man show.

DEVINA MEHRA
Chairperson and MD, First Global
One sharp mind here. When she stands against the crowd and defies conventional wisdom, her arguments are coherent, articulate and armed with data. She talks about some investing truths that are not very popular. How she defines success. How she refuses to be "benchmarked".

ANAND RADHAKRISHNAN
CIO - Equity, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India)
He has not had it easy. When ITC and RIL were climbing the charts, he missed out on that rally. Some of his bets took a long while to bear fruit. Good to see his evolution as a money manager.

VETRI SUBRAMANIAM
CIO, UTI Mutual Fund
I have always been intimidated by Vetri. Extremely intellectual, his conversations possess the virtue of reasoned logic. Warm, but distant. So even though I was excited when he agreed to this interaction, I knew it would be a struggle getting him to talk on a personal level. (I leave you to be the judge of that).

NILESH SHAH
MD, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund
Nilesh is always so engaging in a conversation. I liked how he approached the question on how he would advice his daughter. And how the respect his wife earned inspired him. It is not empty rhetoric when he talks of how passion, purpose, karma and luck came together in his life.

SANKARAN NAREN
CIO, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund
Naren is extremely amicable and unbelievably humble. To be one of the most recognised faces in the Indian asset management industry, and the poster boy for value investing, it makes one wonder what keeps him grounded. He tells us.

PRASHANT JAIN
CIO and Founder, 3P Investment Managers
I flagged off the series with Prashant, and it was a treat listening to him. His career is defined by conviction. So it only fair that he answers the questions: Who pays the price for your conviction? What makes you insecure? What gives you sleepless nights?
