Some observations based on the data.

ICICI Prudential Bluechip has sported significant cash allocations from the start of the year – 8.43% in January 2023 to 10.25% in August. This entire year, Tata Small Cap has had a cash allocation above 10%, touching 15.99% in June 2023. Ditto with Parag Parikh Flexi Cap, which touched a high of 14.43% (April 2023).

Axis Mid Cap had a 13% exposure in March 2023, which is now 7.74%. Motilal Oswal Midcap saw a steep decline in cash from 13.66% (June 2023) to 4.91% (August 2023).

Mahindra Manulife Small Cap is a very new fund that has not even completed a year. Its cash levels kept decreasing (35.88% in December 2022) as it deployed funds in the market.
